There is nothing I love more than to see local talent doing well, and I was extremely pleased to hear the exciting news that Peter Mark, one of Northern Ireland’s leading hairdressing groups, has secured a place at the final of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2015 after competing at the Belfast heat in the Europa Hotel on Sunday 12th April!

As many of you may remember I've covered Peter Mark's ‘Masters of Hair’ team a number of times on the blog and they fought off strong competition, wowing a panel of high-profile judges with their Autumn/Winter 2014/15 fashion inspired look.

The finalists from the Forestside Salon, Belfast, will go on to compete in the 60th L'Oréal Professional Colour Trophy awards in London on 1st June where they hope to win the coveted prize on the night - the Colour Trophy.

The team made up of Alanda Patrick (Stylist) and Jamie Lynn (Colourist) along with make-up artist Rebecca Salters had to create their fashion inspired, flawless look under the gaze of an elite group of accomplished judges. They battled against 30 other salons in the highly competitive regional final to win just one of four places up for grabs.

Area Manager for Peter Mark, Peter Wilkinson, commented on the win: “We couldn’t be prouder of our wonderful winning Peter Mark team. Our stylists worked extremely hard to secure a place in the final and they truly deserved the win.

“Both Alanda and Jamie started out at The Peter Mark Academy and have gone on to firmly establishing themselves as gifted hairdressers. They’re testament to our investment in great talent. On the night, both girls were up to speed on all the latest trends hitting the catwalk and you could really see the difference in the standard of their work. Even the judges highlighted the creativity behind the look which they called daring and dramatic.”

The grand final will take place at Battersea Park, London, and promises a thrilling and inspirational evening featuring 4 hair shows by some of the industry’s most illustrious names in hairdressing.
